Dorothy Marquet is a recent graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), with an undergraduate degree in Fine Art Photography and a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. Marquet grew up on a farm in York Springs, Pennsylvania, a small town near Gettysburg. Subsequent to her love for photography was a childhood filled with drawing and painting and inspiration from her mother who is also an artist. Marquet focuses on environmental, still life, and event photography and videography. The technical and conceptual skills acquired at RIT propel her to create more experimental photographs using multiple exposures or complex studio lighting. She explores the intricacies of nature that are often overlooked and the association of human and organic imagery.
